Thank you!

I am humbled by the trust you have placed in me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Marblehead, Swampscott, and Lynn. Thank you to all who made this campaign possible — I can’t wait to start working on your behalf. Onward!

I’m Jenny Armini, and I’m running to represent Marblehead, Swampscott, and Lynn in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

As a longtime Marblehead resident, I know that our communities are historic, dynamic, and full of promise. Working hard, no matter the circumstances, is what we do. The pandemic challenged us, but it reminded us of our strengths too.

My campaign for state representative is about bringing people together to harness those strengths to recover and rebuild.

I will be an effective advocate for our kids, our coastline, and every generation that calls this district their home.

Our best days are ahead.

Supporting our kids. Fighting climate change. Empowering every generation.

“Jenny is the leader this district needs in the State House. She’s smart, accessible, and committed to our communities. Best of all, she works her heart out.”

— Erin Noonan, Member of the Marblehead Board of Selectmen

“Jenny sees a need in the community and works incredibly hard to find a solution. She consistently demonstrates the kind of leadership that pulls people together to create meaningful, local change.”

— Maureen Kay, Co-Founder of ElectBlue

Meet Jenny

Leader. Advocate. Neighbor.

As a proud mom and community activist, Jenny’s diverse experiences have inspired her to run for state representative and take on the issues that matter most to families in Marblehead, Swampscott, and Lynn.

A Marblehead resident for more than 16 years, Jenny has seen first hand the challenges facing our communities as we recover from a worldwide pandemic – from rising sea levels along our coast to rising costs of living. As a policy leader, she’s been an effective advocate for public education, high-quality health care, and reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights here in Massachusetts and in Washington DC. A tireless and creative problem solver, Jenny is ready to serve as an accessible representative who puts the well-being and interests of every 8th Essex resident above all else.

Following the 2016 presidential election, Jenny and her friend, Maureen Kay, transformed the community’s anger and fear into positive change by launching ElectBlue, a grassroots political group dedicated to electing Democrats to the US House and Senate in 2018. Jenny organized political briefings, postcard nights, and fundraising events—contributing to the success of candidates around the country. As a result, local Democrats felt empowered and engaged in the political process.

Jenny has a track record of working with a variety of perspectives – from those of progressive Democrats to progressive Republicans – and getting results for people. She began her career as a senior legislative aide on Capitol Hill, where she saw the possibilities of changing lives through legislation. She brought that experience with her to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, where she worked to strengthen the Commonwealth’s child support enforcement laws. Later, Jenny launched important policy discussions on Beacon Hill as the head of communications for MassINC, the state’s leading nonpartisan think tank. She’s dedicated to public service, which is one reason she was awarded a Public Service Fellowship for her graduate degree at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

Today, Jenny writes speeches and opinion pieces while raising her two children with her husband, Michael. She has been a dedicated volunteer for her children’s schools and a vocal advocate for district-wide changes to school policies, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has served as a member of her church’s vestry and as a lay eucharistic minister. A former board member of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, she also enjoys helping women get elected to local office. In her free time, she cheers for her alma mater, the University of Virginia. Her son and daughter like to joke that her favorite child is really the family dog, a Scottie-Westie rescue named Wallace.
